Weiqi Hardware Coding V3.0
Course Overview
Weiqi Hardware Programming V3.0 is tangible robot programming for ages 6–7 in lower elementary grades. Tablet touch block programming is zero-barrier entry; main controller plus LED, touch, photoelectric, ultrasonic, gyro, and color sensors and high-speed motors support each lesson. Life scenarios or natural phenomena start ST Education Research Institute's six-step loop, blending festivals and culture—aligned with China Student Development Core Competencies and 3STC Nine Elements. Every lesson delivers a moving robot through "play to learn, learn by doing."

Competency Goals
Self-Directed Learning
Scenario hooks spark interest; curious students build and debug independently—intrinsic drive from "I did it."
Engineering Thinking
"Know parts → build → program → debug → extend" every lesson—from fans and carts to elevators and oil pumps—design, implement, improve.
Computational Thinking
Touch-controlled pirate ships, photoelectric color detection, dual-branch direction switching—sequence, loops, branches, events, and input–decide–output logic.
Design Thinking
"Project extension" after base models—longer spin times, adjusted hammer heads—from "made it" to "made it better."
Cultural Understanding
Festivals and cultural themes in robot projects—technology with cultural roots.
Communication & Collaboration
Reflection closes six steps—explain features, share improvements; divide labor in group builds.
Course Advantages
Core Competencies
Aligned with China Student Development Core Competencies and ST 3STC—humanistic foundation, scientific spirit, learning to learn, healthy living, responsibility, practical innovation.
Scenario + Science Dual Drive
"Why do elevators move?" "Why do bats hang upside down?" "Why do oil pumps nod?"—life and nature hooks plus one science concept per robot—depth through play.
Rich Electronics
Controller + six sensor types + high-speed motor; pad touch programming—accessible from age 5.
Bruner + Montessori Foundation
Constructivism and sensory education matched to sensitive periods and cognitive development.
